Egger - Light pollution

If you are affected by the amount of light generated by the Egger plant, please register your concern with Tynedale Council who are logging complaints.  The telephone number is 01434 652121.  Customer Services will take your call and will ensure that your comments are passed to the Environmental Health department.  If you wish to complain directly to Egger as well, you can phone them on 01434 602191.  It is best to do this at night (after the main switchboard has closed) because your call to this number will be taken by the gatehouse security team who log every call.  Alternatively, you may wish to email Paul Turner who is responsible for this function at Egger.  His email address is believed to be paul.turner@egger.com

Important Dates!
Monday 3 September - please write to the Parish Council before this date to urge them to support your concerns over the Land Allocation Proposals.  The Council will meet on Wednesday 12 September to consider the proposals and reach a decision on whether or not to support the allocations and the clerk will need a few days prior to this to prepare a document for the Parish Council to consider.
The Parish Council meeting is a public meeting held in Beaufront School at 7.30pm and you are entitled to attend.  If you feel moved to voice your opinions there is usually an opportunity for residents to address the Council at the beginning of the meeting.  This is your opportunity to see democracy in action at a local level.  [Click here for the Parish Clerk's address]
