A meeting took place at the factory this week between the company and Tynedale Council's Panning and Environmental Health Officers.  The purpose of the meeting was to identify how the company intended to demonstrate compliance with the numerous planning conditions applied to the planning permission for the new manufacturing plant.   Each condition was discussed in detail and the appropriate method of discharging the condition clarified.  The company are to make a number of submissions by the end of December explaining how conditions have been met and supply supporting information where necessary.

Noise and lighting glare continues to be reported as a problem. A monitoring visit to the Oakwood area on Wednesday at 23:00 indicated that whilst the level of plant noise was noticeable no impacts, squeaks or reversing alarms were audible at that time.  At Beaufront Avenue glare from lighting units was clearly visible along the southerly aspect of the factory facing the Corbridge Road.

The revised operating Permit is nearly complete. The Council is required to make the document open to public consultation and anyone wishing to make a representation must do so within 20 working days (4 calendar weeks).  Due to the Christmas break public consultation on the revised Permit will take place in January.
